We each have our own color sense and I am often amazed at the paper and color combinations other crafters use on my files. It is through the photos people send to me that I have learned I am very conservative in my choice and others do a much better job. Below are some photos sent to me by Terri Adams of Colorado. She sure has had fun exploring paper and color combinations!
Terri sent me the following hints: “I wanted to mention a few of the things that I did with the Candle Cake card. For the base paper I used a metallic embossed Kraft cardstock and embossed the icing cardstock with a swirly pattern. The flames are cut from holographic paper. To decorate the solid color cardstock used for the candles I had my cricut draw dots with a metallic marker. Lastly, I created a folding topper layer with a number and a print-and-cut happy birthday banner and attached to the center section.”
